Ms. Kalpana was admitted and enrolled as an advocate and solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in 2009. 

She is the founder and the managing partner of Kalpana & Partners.

With more than a decade experience in legal practice, she has represented and acted for diversified range of clients from corporate to matrimonial matters.

Ms. Kalpana also has extensive experience in all aspects of Matrimonial Law, including Contested & Uncontested Divorce and Mediation. Other areas include preparation of Deed of Separation and advising clients on other matrimonial issues such as Domestic Violence & Home Exclusion, Child’s Custody & Support, Matrimonial Assets Division and Maintenance.

Having pursued her Masters in Science majoring in construction contract management from University Teknologi Malaysia, Ms.Kalpana is well-versed with construction claims and disputes. She is able to provide practical, specialist and strategic advice at every phase of construction project from inception, tendering to completion.

Ms. Gunasundary  graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) degree from the University of Multimedia in 2019. 

She underwent her pupilage with Messrs Kalpana & Partners under the tutelage of Ms Kalpana Kumara and was subsequently admitted and enrolled as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in 2020.

She is the Senior Associate- Head of Operations of Kalpana & Partners.

She was retained as an associate in 2020 and has worked closely with Ms. Kalpana in various litigation matters. Her primary areas of practice are matrimonial including but not limited to contested and complex divorce and child custody matters.

She also has vast experience in probate and administration of estates as well as company related matters such as voluntary and compulsory winding up of companies, reduction of share capital, drafting and reviewing of various agreements.

Ms. Rishika graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) from Multimedia University class of 2023, and was later admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in 2024.

She began her legal journey with an attachment at Messrs. Kalpana & Partners, where she gained practical experience in various areas of family disputes . Rishika then completed her pupillage under the tutelage of Ms. Kalpana Kumara, where she focused on family disputes and child custody matters.

Following her pupillage, Rishika was retained as an Associate at the firm. She now works on a range of family law matters, including child custody disputes and family disputes matters . Known for her empathetic approach and strong legal skills, Rishika is committed to helping clients navigate challenging family situations with effective and compassionate legal support.
